Blog2009 ≫ John Lewis have discontinued the Bergerac range of furniture

That's the biggest news of my weekend!

John Lewis Bergerac has been replaced by John Lewis Ardennes it seems (according to the seller of these Bergerac oak chairs1 anyway. This2 has replaced our bookcases, and it's not the same detailing, so slim chance of us getting any more matching now. Even if we could afford them.

When we got married we bought some [ebay=john lewis bergerac]Bergerac furniture from John Lewis[/ebay], two book cases, and I thought we'd eventually buy just this. It's very expensive, and a bit chunky, and now they discontinued it anyway. We bought a sideboard, that turned out to be a slightly different colour to the bookcases, ah well. I think we're better off with lighter furniture (lighter in colour, and in generallyless heavy feeling in sheer presence), but it's still lovely stuff. [ebay=john lewis bergerac]You might still get it here occasionally[/ebay].

Been watching The Salvager3 all afternoon on Discovery: Shed4, it's my new favourite show. I'm going to get some scrap wood and make bookshelves when we move. Definitely.

Working backwards here, had a lovely weekend with my folks visiting, stayed in Friday night eating chilli, went to Canterbury (including Prezzo) yesterday. Shocking bad weather here, thunder and heavy rain and everything.

We are all healthy again now anyway, the bug has passed. The boy not that happy this afternoon, putting that down to his Nanny and Grandddad leaving him though.

Here's The boy yesterday, having mistakenly eaten some CHICKEN!
