Blog2009 ≫ OFT taking no action on CAMRA's beer tie complaint

Man I want to go to the pub

There are many things killing off pubs, this one is probably a bigger one than me not finding the time to them as often as I used to. CAMRA1 says2:

This morning, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) announced that it will be taking no action following CAMRA's super-complaint on the beer tie.

Following this inadequate response, CAMRA is demanding that the Government take immediate action to refer unfair tie arrangements in the pub sector to the Competition Commission for urgent investigation.

Man I want to go to the pub, there's something about this time of year. We have a night out on Saturday, but it's not even to the pub, it's to Sandbanks, a restaurant. And I can only go to a bit of that, as Clare and I are going to take turns looking after the boy. See how I don't say "babysitting" - I know lots of people do, but it's not babysitting when it's your own.

Here's The boy, he's his father's son alright: [flickr]http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2736/4032678254_188212db80.jpg[/flickr]
