Hi I'm Alan Lockwood I worked as a booker with The Tempest Agency in the early 60's with Lorna (his girlfriend) We brought all the Motown acts into the UK which I am sure you saw in your part of the world Roy was a hustler of the first order and it was when he tried to com me out of commission for booking everything into the Top Ten Club Hamburg that we parted company. All his vehicles were insured in my name and I just cancelled the policies..... great days.

This is my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when we first came to Folkestone sometime in '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a gig calendar + voting for favourite venues + things, and I hear it was a useful reference for those who were thinking of moving here. Now Iʼve moved out of Folkestone again (though only to Hythe) it doesnʼt get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from a fake newspaper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great arenʼt they? Do contact me if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
