Foster Gearing's virtual reality zoom around our Creative Quarter

FG ≫ 2009 ≫ Foster Gearing's virtual reality zoom around our Creative Quarter

This is as close to redevelopment as it feels Folkestone will get :-(

Foster Gearing1's video of it's vision for our very own Creative Quarter... hmm is there any mileage in pretending the FG on their video really stands for Folkestone Gerald?

The Old High Street is much like that already isn't it? Has about that many people walking up it anyway.

This is part of my site The Folkestone Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first came here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get now. This site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events + voting for favourite places + things, + I hear it was a useful resource for others who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. I am not Gerald BTW, this comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
