And now it's all going #jetpack instead

Just after everything goes a bit jetpack ¹. Whoosh, me. Was planning on ditching greasemonkey and just making an addon instead, but do we got to develop everything twice now, or can I develop in Jetpack and have it make a standalone Firefox addon?
