What, I have to PAY???
Trying to find out why our google maps haven't been working over https recently, and this is why google maps for enterprise. Man, I am out of touch! We have to pay if we want that feature, plus a few more features. Am in touch with google and will find out how much it is! They also offer:
- Greater capacity for high traffic websites
- The ability to provide secure maps over https
- Business-friendly terms and conditions
- Support and service options
- Control over advertisements within the maps
HTTPS in case you are interested and did not know is the secure protocol for serving web pages. So when you're on say the page where you're giving us your credit card number to book your parking space, that will be an https page. If we serve up an image from a regular http page on that https page, then internet explorer will pop up a security alert. So we serve up our images (and our google map if we had one on that page) over https...
