I hope there's some good stuff there...Every Friday and Saturday evening throughout March, Quarterhouse in Tontine Street, Folkestone will host Music Month - a series of diverse music nights. Featuring a variety of bands, solo artists and musical acts, we want to showcase the type of music you can expect to see regularly at Quarterhouse. From folk to rock, pop to indie and electronica to jazz, whatever your tastes we want you to come and help us celebrate Quarterhouse's first month! This is my website The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first moved here sometime in '04. I had been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get now. This site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar + voting for favourite places + things, + I hear it was a handy resource for others who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald.
