Escondido is still closed, and the sign on the door still says it'll be closed until further notice, but there was apparently a piece in the paper saying it'd be open again in three weeks. Fingers crossed!

This is my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first came here in approximately 2004. I had been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. The site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar and voting for favourite places and things, + I hear it was a useful resource for others who were moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald.
