Little Switzerland Cafe and bar

FG ≫ 2008 ≫ Little Switzerland Cafe and bar

Visited Little Switzerland as we were told there was a fantastic view.We were not disappointed.Wasn't staying at the camping and caravanning site but if ever I needed that facility it would be the ideal location, beautiful views, clean and quiet. It has the added bonus of a very nice cafe/bar with seating looking out over the English Channel and you can even see France. The owners and their staff are very welcoming and friendly. There is a good selection of food which was very reasonable and served quickly. Alot of people were just having tea and cakes which also looked very good. I would highly recommend a visit here to eat and take in the view, even if you are not camping. Jacqui and Mickey Carolan (London)

This is part of my website The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first came to Folkestone sometime in 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. This site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events + voting for favourite places + things, + I hear it was a handy resource for others who were moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, the name comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
