I've heard this mentioned before, it's making sense now, from this blog1:
they made all previous supports seem like geniuses in comparison (and I include Sheep on Drugs at Folkestone Pavilion in 1996)
So something happened that night to get them kicked off the Gary Numan tour. So that places them and he in Folkestone, at the Pavilion, in March 1996, quite possibly with the lead piping!
Doesn't sound very likely that a major tour would be at the Pavilion though, I think it's the Leas Cliff Hall again, and this gigography23 says so too (although it says Leas Cliffe Hall).
💬 Might have been Marine Pavilion

This is my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a calendar of events and voting for favourite venues and things, and I know it was a useful reference for others who were thinking of moving here. Now Iʼve moved out of Folkestone again (though only to Hythe) it doesnʼt get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great arenʼt they? Do contact me if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
