M'lady's boudoir to close

FG ≫ 2007 ≫ M'lady's boudoir to close

The designer ladies outfitters on the Old High Street is to close, or at least to move somewhere other than Folkestone Old High Street, one of the shop owners blogs here1...

I don't often pass up or down the Old High Street, but when I did a couple of weeks ago I noticed another shop I'd recommended here (which I forget the name of now) has closed, it seems to have been reposessed by the Creative Foundation. It is a bit early for all these businesses really, good on them for being early adopters, Folkestone will get there in the end.

This is my site The FG that I set up in a fury of excitement when we first moved to Folkestone sometime in '04. I had been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. This site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events + voting for best venues and things, and I know it was a useful reference for those who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we always thought it was about to become. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do contact me if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
