One of our tanks is missing!

FG ≫ 2007 ≫ One of our tanks is missing!

From Kent News1:

A radio controlled scale model of a German tank has been stolen from a garage in Folkestone.

The 1-16th sized half-track military vehicle from World War Two is painted in camouflage colours and has the numbers 007 in white paint on the sides and a badge on the front.

PC Andy Perham said: "This is a distinctive model, and I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen it being used or maybe being offered for sale."

Plenty of remote controlled tanks for sale here, I don't see one that quite matches the picture on kent news though...

This is part of my site The FG that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a few years previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar + voting for best venues and things, and I know it was a useful reference for others who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from a fake newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do contact me if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
