Frenchman opening next week?

FG ≫ 2006 ≫ Frenchman opening next week?

Not that I've spoken to anyone or anything, but I see these gigs coming through on the listings: Thu 5th Oct 2006 Heroes Fri 6th The Sharpee's (should that apostrophe really be there..?) Sat 7th Clacket Lane TBC Fri 13th Turmoil Sat 14th Mary's Dog (that one's right)

Had a look through the door today, as I thought it might be open this weekend. The place is still all upside down, but looks on schedule. It's not changed drastically inside, just looks new and clean, some of the old decor is intact.

Connected with The Frenchman in some way? [reply]Leave a message[/reply]... If you'd like to vote on which of those gigs is likelly to be the best, please go to the full Folkestone listings...

This is my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first came to Folkestone sometime in 2004. I had been a frequent visitor for a while before that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. The site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events + voting for favourite places + things, and I hear it was a useful resource for others who were moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, the name comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
