This is part of my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a frenzy of excitement when I first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a regular visitor for a while previous to that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. This site used to be updated more frequently with a calendar of events and voting for favourite places + things, + I hear it was a useful resource for others who were moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. I am not Gerald BTW, this comes from the name of a fake paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald.
