... and I have nothing to say. Is this what it's going to be like for the rest of the year?
I've had a few offers and suggestions from friends, lots of people want to help me out but are astounded by my 12 month notice period. They are seeing this as a huge disadvantage, whereas I see it as a safety buffer. I've got 12 months to get my skills up to date (up to date for 12 months time, not up to date for now) and learn some things that I've not had time to until now. It means I can't apply for a job like this one1 right away, which sounds nice and local and possibly up my street, but it also means I don't need to apply for something that's not right for me. Can't figure out if that job is techy enough for me, though it does sound up my street.
So, to the CV, that's probably the first step.
Just for fun, put some new Javascript in that counts down the days until R-Day and chucks the answer at the bottom of each post...
