⬆️Folkestone without the views and the faded grandeur

Not a place that grabs me but hey, good for them! Plus I expect a few would-be buyers will look at the map and see our beloved Folkestone nearby(with it's faded granduer)? Glad we didn't choose Nottingham to reloc, eh Pauly?

Congrats on yer wedding day mate

ps'Dont think much of the smilies!

This is part of my website The Folkestone Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first came to Folkestone in approximately '04. I had been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. The site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar and voting for favourite places and things, + I know it was a useful resource for others who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, the name comes from a pretend paper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
