On the Sunday 17th July 2005 "One Kent" are presenting a Showcase of many their artistes at the Sinden Theatre, Homewood School Tenterden, Kent. Aristes ages range from 12 to 61 years old. The music is of all genres suitable for all ages. - Doors open 6.30pm First Act on stage at 7pm.

This is part of my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when we first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a few years previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar + voting for best venues and things, + I know it was a useful reference for those who were thinking of moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. I am not Gerald by the way, the name comes from a fake newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald.
