"When the rest of the track is finished in 2007 it will be possible to commute from St Pancras to Folkestone in 35 minutes"

FG ≫ 2005 ≫ "When the rest of the track is finished in 2007 it will be possible to commute from St Pancras to Folkestone in 35 minutes"

That sounds a bit quicker than I'd heard before, but so says propertyinvesting.net1... it also adds:

Folkestone is a nice town generally no really bad areas. Down by the harbour it's got "further to go" than other parts of the town. Much of Folkestone is large elegant Victoriana three story terraces many in leafy avenues. Any property with sea-views will command a premium in future years... Close to the town centre is a plus if you rent your property. There is no University2, but there is a town centre International Language College that needs student accommodation. Price are rising fast from last October, so get in quick before it's too late!

What a nice report!

This is my website The FG that I set up in a fury of excitement when we first came to Folkestone in approximately '04. I had been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site used to be updated more frequently with a calendar of events and voting for favourite places and things, and I know it was a useful resource for those who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from a pretend paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do get in touch if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
