New John Squire album...

Stone Roses axe man (do I still have to write that every time) John Squire has a new album out on Monday... the playing sounds quite pleasant, if not adventurous, but the vocals are like Kelly Jones after he's been on intensive cigarette testing programme.

The album's called Marshall's House and all the tracks are inspired by Edward Hopper paintings... all I know about this man was that perhaps his most famous work "Nighthawks" was used in the first issue of The Tick comic - more on the Tick at thetick.ws

Oh, back to the album, no, I don't really like it, but die hard Roses fans might do. I'm off to find out what my Tick collection is worth.
