Blog2004 ≫ Music Passport

Arrived at work to a disaster this morning, some web servers not responding, including musicpassport.org and it's launch day!

Not sure who is confirmed to be playing, I know The Darkness and The Cure and others have been talked about, playing at Barfly...

Not getting too excited about it myself, as there is no chance of being able to go, but tickets will be up on Ebay and from entering a draw on musicpassport.org.

The sites came back, not sure what it is... I was worried for a while it was my programming, causing a memory leak on the box, but everything seemed to be OK on the box, just wasn't connected to the web. Also, DUH, the music passport stuff wasn't on a box I'd done any programming on...

Aha, The Daily Mirror1 has all the details so far... The Darkness, The Cure, Super Furry Animals, Travis, Pet Shop Boys and more are all confirmed...

Passport: Back To The Bars is six nights of unprecedented gigs across the UK. During the first week of March 2004, big artists will play small shows in Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, London and York. Fans will get a chance to see their favourite artists up-close and personal in the intimate environment of the Barfly venues. Many of the participating acts have started out their careers at Barfly venues and are now returning to their roots. And it is all happening in the name of charity. These shows will not only be a once in a lifetime occasion for fans, but they will also generate very significant sums of money
