Blog2003 ≫ Kings of Leon

For a change yesterday went to a proper big gig, to see Travis and Kings of Leon at Alexandra Palace. It's nice and easy to get to from here really, and you get a great view up there. Kings of Leon were ace, much better live than I'd heard, but we didn't stick around for Travis. It was a Carling sponsored gig, so there was nothing to drink in there but that, so it felt a bit dull hanging around in such a huge venue not drinking 1.

Went to the pub attached to Alexandra Palace for one drink after the show, then on to The Old Dairy and The Tup and finally Anglo Asian.

Have decided against shopping today, I managed to finish up along Regent Street and Oxford Street yesterday.

It's cold and murky outside today and I don't much feel like going out, but we're heading off to see Mark do a gig at Brixton Windmill...

Not sure how it's going to be at work this week, everyone seems to be off this week, but I'm working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday...

  1. I also covered this on Popex as well as on my blog. I know I had a disappointed PR where I had not seen the main band and dissed the sponsor when they had given me free tickets. Carling though. They have tried their best to buy up the live music experience, it cannot make me drink the lager
