Got an Oyster Card update from a friend1
I tried to RENEW mine by phone and after a LENGTHY recorded message the operator told me:
- they didn't have any record of my card on their computers (how can this possibly BE?!?) because I'd bought my card at the station ?!? why would they have a DIFFERENT database depending on where you bought it from) and
- they COULD register it for me BUT I'd be quicker walking to the station and queuing up (NG!) AND even then they wouldn't be able to get the card renewed for several days (how can this BE?!? do they POST the details to the station or WHAT?!?
