PopEx ≫ 2002 ≫ Secret Suede Gig!

Ah, unfortunately it was Saturday night.

Suede fan club members had a treat on Saturday night, a secret show just for them... Approximately 70 fan club members applied for tickets for what they thought was a playback of the new album, but on arrival they were bussed to the recording studio were the band performed just for them.

They played about eight new songs, then turned the mic over to the audience for requests, including "Killing of a Flash Boy", "The Drowners", and probably more. I wasn't there.

Possibly it made up for the fact these weren't ROCK enough to be at the Darkness gig at the Bull and Gate on Saturday night. But possibly not.
