PopEx ≫ 2001 ≫ Poptones hit the North...

So what have the cockneys ever done for us?

Sick of the Capitocentric press only giving you gossip from the latest London Danceteria? Fear not, Alan McGee is taking his "Radio 4" night to Scotchland, so get along there and make the pages of NME and the Daily Mirror yourself!

On February 24th, Radio 4 will be decamping to Glasgow Lighthouse... McGee and chums will be DJing, and there will be bands playing. But we don't know who they are yet. Bands to play at previous Radio 4 nights (at it's regular home of Notting Hill Arts Centre) have included Gay Dad, Captain Soul and Zodiac Mindwarp.

Whereas WE get the full R4 experience, from 6pm until I've no idea what time, Glasgow is only allowed a limited version - from 8pm until midnight.
