Alisha's Attic live, and more...

Well last night I went all the way down Queen Caroline St, to Riverside Studios, ex home of TFI Friday1 to see the filming of Carlton's new music TV show "The Base"...

A bit of a rarity for music TV, it's featuring live bands playing live, so obviously it will be consigned to the graveyard slot by schedulers - you can't have too much miming on TV I think.

Orbital played a few new tracks as did the spankingly gorgeous Alisha's Attic, but the crowd (apart from their own loony stalkers, a must for all female artists) were a bit reserved... The explanation became apparent - they were all TOPLOADER fans, bussed in to go spontaneously crazy when their big-haired faves hit the stage. Naturally, we made our excuses and left.

Also appearing on the series will be Shivaree and the mighty Muse... stay tuned for more programme info...

Thanks to valued punter Mighty Matt for sorting it out.
