Trail of Dead and Snow Patrol ROCKED MY WORLD!

Got a call at 5pm on Friday to say "got a plus one for Trail Of Dead", which was very nice... so went to that, saw Snow Patrol supporting, they were really bloody good, first time I've seen them live, and they were very impressive.

Mostly they made me think of Nirvana, in that their songs all seem to be loud bit / quiet bit. Top stuff.

Paul Wagstaff, ex Happy Mondays is playing with them, and he's my new style hero, he has hair that is too long for a man of his age, and big sideburns and a mexican moustache. As soon as I'm man enough, I'm having that too.

...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead were just awesome. Fifth time I've seen them this year, and as good as the first time. They took a bit of time out to take the piss out of At The Drive In's Cedric Bixler; at the previous night's gig he insisted on no throwing things, no dancing, no breathing, no blokes allowed in the audience, and other exaggerated lies. ...Trail of Dead set the standard by throwing (plastic) glasses at the crowd and rock-TASTICALLY blowing everyone away.

And that was what I did on my weekend.
