Guns, and also Roses...
King Adora played another of Channelfly's "going to be on the TV soon" gigs yesterday. The music is good, lots of power and energy, but there are tinges of something like Gay Dad about them - they definitely give the impression of being a band put together by journalists and art student prankers, even though this isn't the case.
It's nice to see a band making an effort to give rock and roll a kick up the arse, even if they're lifting largely from early Manics / New York Dolls / Guns n Roses style of sleazy glam.
The content here originally from my very popular (in the late '90s) website popex.com. Parts were written by valued punters, so mostly editorial originally created by me. I moved the content here here when the website eventually closed down in the early noughties. Hopefully this ignites memories (assuming you find it).
