They are getting GCSE results today. Not the same GCSE results we did in my day (back in yore) nor even the same GCSE results that the nephew did last year, but the new ones. No more A being the top, or A* being the top, or A** (they ran out of things to escalate it to as they made the exams easier) now they are graded 1 to 9, so 9 is the top. Until next year when 10 is the top, and then 11, until the whole system is utterly devalued again.
