number two son's taking phenoxymethylpenicillin for this strange bacterial infection that's caused the rash (that may or may not be scarlet fever). Or rather he's meant to be taking it. It's absolute torture to try and get it down him, it's quite upsetting. It's meant to be taken on an empty stomach, but it's ok to mix it with something. We put it in his milk and it went down eventually, but it's a real struggle apart from that. We're looking for an alternative today.
