AND at the weekend, I had more MRIs, trying to find out what is wrong with my back, or whatever. It was at an odd time, 6.40pm on the Sunday, but that's actually fairly convenient for a medical appointment for me. Had to go to the William Harvey again, but there was no hanging around, straight from reception to the temporary MRI in the car park. Then three scans on the trot, without me even getting out of the machine. I had to have a head brace this time, and got the ominous warning "don't swallow" while I was having my head scanned. Of course I could think of nothing but swallowing, so this was quite uncomfortable.
Not sure if this is just a regular MRI joke but they asked me if I wanted to listen to music again, and there was no music, just the disorienting pounding of the machine. I got a bit confused really about how long I'd been in there, was quite hard to tell but apparently I was in for about forty-five minutes. I might have fallen asleep even, which is odd considering how noisy it is.
