Blog2010 ≫ Hoax calls supposedly from autoglass

I never ever ever pass these on, but...

I never ever ever pass these things on but this genuinely happened to a workmate, she called the number:

I have received a call for Steve today (and think there may be more to come) from someone saying they were from Autoglass and that they had replaced one of his car's window and were phoning for payment. They then ask for a mobile number saying that they need to send a text to confirm the price of the work.

They are hoax calls - also if you take the mobile number and ring it back it is a pre-recorded hoax message.

Just a warning - please do not give over credit card details or your mobile number.

Assuming it was a premium rate number, but I don't know.
