Med sin sregna stil har The Darkness blivit rets sensationsband i England och det nya albumet har slts i ver 800.000 exemplar enbart i England. Permission to land har legat etta p den engelska albumlistan i fyra veckor. De har ven vunnit ett antal musikpriser under ret, bland annat Best Live Act och Best Album p Kerrang Awards samt Best Single p Metal Hammer Awards.

The Darkness bestr av medlemmarna Justin Hawkins (sng, gitarr, synthesizer), Dan Hawkins (gitarr), Frankie Poullain (bas) och Ed Graham (trummor).

PS buy their Christmas single. It's not as good as their other stuff, but if you don't Cliff Richard might get in.
