PopEx ≫ 2003 ≫ D4 @ popscene, San Francisco

Some ROCK for our West Coast friends...

popscene are happy to present a special live performance this Thursday, January 23, from New Zealand's D4. The quartet bring their raucous punk-garage sounds to the popscene stage for their live San Francisco debut. Check out the band whose sound NME said was "akin to answering the door and being summarily smacked in the face with a cricket bat by a gang of drug-crazed Hell's Angels," while Time Out London added the band were "degenerate garage punks straight outta Auckland, whose debut album careers past AC/DC, Ramones and Radio Birdman." Come and see what all the fuss is about and stick around to shake your ass a bit later to the sounds of the popscene DJs.

The following week, Thursday, January

Dates:

January 23: Live performance from New Zealand's D4 January 30: popscenes belated 7-year anniversary: a short acoustic set from Johnny Marr of The Smiths and all four original popscene DJs reunited on the decks. Open late until 3 AM. $10
