PopEx ≫ 2002 ≫ Jazz - What is the point of it?

Pop News Back Soon.

I'm listening to some stuff that the smashing guys at "Air" sent me, starting off with Slightly Askew, by Chris Bowden1. I just don't get it at all. Is there a bit missing from my brain, or is jazz just rubbish?

I am grateful to them for sending me stuff (I get bugger all free stuff, PopEx, 109X Regents Park Road, NW1 8UR) so I will regurge some of their press release.

[quote]Chris Bowden will be performing tracks from his Slightly Askew album on Thursday May 30th as part of Xen Solid Steel at Cargo, alongside Simon Richmond, The Irresistable Force and Jason Swinscoe.

"True" says Bowden is reminiscent of Miles David, Stravinsky and Star Trek, so I will forward this on to valued punter (and Davisologist) for further analysis, while I make attempts at Stacey Kent's "In Love Again"1 and Alex Wilson's "R&B Latino"1...

The content here originally from my popliar (in the tail end of the nineties) site popex.com. Some of this written by valued punters, but mainly originally created by me. I shifted this content here when popex finally closed down at the start of the noughties. Hopefully this brings back memories (if you find it).
