PopEx ≫ 2001 ≫ Anarchic Old Hippies

Sunday 21st October sees the 2001 "Greasy Truckers Party" at London Astoria. As one of the artists playing is a high ranking popEx punter (who wishes to remain anonymous), here is some of their press release:

FOLLOWING THE SUCCESS OF THE ORIGINAL GREASY TRUCKERS PARTIES IN THE LATE 60'S AND EARLY 70'S FEATURING SUCH LUMINARIES AS HAWKWIND / MAN / CAMEL / GONG ETC. THE CONCEPT HAS BEEN RESURRECTED BY SEVERAL LIKE-MINDED SOULS TO CREATE AN EVENT TO BRING THE TRUCKERS KICKING AND SCREAMING INTO THE NEW MILLENIUM.

THE GREASY TRUCKERS PARTY 2001 WILL FEATURE MUSIC FROM THE HAWKESTRA AS WELL AS MAN, LARRY WALLIS, INNER CITY UNIT, MAGIC MICHAEL AND WHITEGATE DRIVE. THE HOST WILL BE ANDY DUNKLEY WHO COMPERED THE ORIGINAL SHOWS. IN ADDITION THERE WILL BE SPECIAL GUESTS, STALLS AND HAPPENINGS TO MAKE THIS A NIGHT TO REMEMBER (OR NOT!!).

If you fancy it, get your tickets here...

Mrs Pauly, if you are reading this, keep that night free, we're going...

I shifted this content here when the website eventually shut down in the early '00s. Hopefully this brings back memories if you find it.
