Went into a spend frenzy in the DVD dept of HMV yesterday, their sale is pretty good really... there are billions of copies of a few films, which have obviously been shipped in to pack out the shelves, but there are a few genuinely reduced gems in there too... I plumped for a dozen, including:
Oh Brother Where Art Thou, 9.99 1,
Snatch double disk set, 13.99 2,
The New Statesman, 9.99,
Men Behaving Badly series 4 3, 5 4, 6 5, and the "Last Orders" set 6 all at 9.99 each. Series 1 7, 2 8 and 3 9 are also there at this price, and not the 20 quid that I paid...
SOME of the sale prices apply to the website too, pile on in there... Mrs Pauly's staff discount only applies in store though 10, so I'll be heading back next week to buy all of Only Fools And Horses 11 and possibly more Dangermouse...
What is this madness thinking this is great paying a tenner for a DVD. You cannot give them away now. And money was worth more then!
13.99 for one film!

Why did wife get a discount in HMV? Is it because she worked for Waterstones??

This content originally from my very popular (in the late nineties) site popex.com. Parts were contributed by valued punters, but mostly editorial originally created by me. I shifted this content here when the website eventually closed down in the early noughties. Hope this brings back memories (if you find it).
