PopEx ≫ 2001 ≫ Limp Bizkit Cancel Dates

Mass ticket giveaways fail to make Fred's back any better...

Ooh, press release:

It is with great regret & apologies to all their fans that the members of Limp Bizkit are forced to announce the cancellation of the five remaining dates on their current "Anger Management" tour in Europe.

Lead singer Fred Durst has suffered an increasingly painful & distressing back injury. After consultation with a number of doctors & orthopaedic specialists over the past ten days, Durst was told that a "Mandatory" rest period of at least two weeks was needed from all physical activities to allow the injury, identified by MRI as a "stress fracture to the fifth lumbar vertebrae" to begin to heal. He will then undergo a period of gradual recovery & physical rehabilitation.

Unfortunately, due to prior commitments and scheduling problems, the remaining five dates in Germany, Switzerland, Britain & Eire are unlikely to be re-scheduled at this time.

This, having been the bands' longest & most successful tour to date has made the cancellation all the more difficult for the band. They once again thank all of their fans for the support they have given them & for making the tour such an outstanding and unforgettable experience.

It would seem even a mass ticket giveaway wasn't enough to make Fred's back feel any better...
