PopEx ≫ 2001 ≫ Frankie Machine Cancel

Arse!

Tomorrow's Frankie Machine show is now CANCELLED, because of an illness... don't die before you've played London man...

This is not one of those music industry codes where "musical difference" really means "fist fights", and "exhaustion" means "heroin" etc, he really is ill.

So now what to do tomorrow? All I can find in London that might be worth checking out is "The Bush, The Tree & Me" at Spitz, in Spitalfields Market. It's folk based, and very popular - read a review and see some pictures here: http://www.cambrid.freeserve.co.uk/cam00/sunday4.htm

Why am I not still in Portsmouth (where I spent the weekend)? Last night at the Wedgewood Rooms they had Sigue Sigue Sputnik, tonight they have Divine Comedy, and tomorrow Frank Black! That venue only holds about 300 people!

What's going on in your town tonight?

I moved the content here here when popex eventually closed down in the early '00s. Hopefully this brings back memories (assuming you find it).
