5:40 to Southport from Manchester Victoria
After standing around like a dick for half an hour waiting for my usual train @ 5:10 [there's no announcements, obviously] the 5:40 train arrives, 2 carriages, packed to the gills and with a mob of angry commuters deperate to get on. The conductor reveals that the new head of Railtrak is on board, not that the trains have anything to do with them, that's the train company's responsibility, they only deal in track. So the poor sod had to stand up like cattle with the rest of us miserable bastards.
