Especially PopEx, after the lovely letter they sent...
Got an actual letter, written by hand, on real paper today from Urusei Yatsura, saying "Love Popex, we've been playing it since early this year. Thanks for your support while we've been dormant. Here's some stuff". Which was nice.
What was nicer was the t-shirt - Urusei have GRATE designs, if you want one, best email [uyatsura@hotmail.com](mailto:uyatsura@hotmail.com?subject=where can i get a t-shirt like you sent pauly?) and ask them.
Anyway, the hot news is that after a disaster at Che records (the label licensing the new album from Che went bust!) they've been so quiet because they had to wait to get out of the contract. The result of this is that they've formed their own record label - ONI Records - and will be releasing the album on it on the 4th of September...
Stay tuned for the tour dates, and a chance to win a copy of the new album...

The content here originally from my very popular (in the tail end of the '90s) site popex.com. Some of this written by other people, but mostly editorial originally created by me. I shifted this content here when the website eventually closed down at the start of the '00s. Hopefully this brings back memories (if you find it).
