Kathryn Williams and Hefner played at Spitz last night...

I went to see Kathryn Williams last night, she has a GRATE voice, if you like that Beth Orton sorta thing...

The drummer from Hefner was one support, doing his solo acoustic guitar songy stuff. It would have been REAL funny if he'd just done a big drum solo, everyone would have died... But he didn't. Also Hefner are doing an free gig at Borders bookshop on Charing X Rd today at 6.30...

The gig was nice, sit down and folkie, but a bit annoying in a Belle and Sebastian gig stylee every time she said ANYTHING AT ALL - like "oops, my guitar is out of tune" - everyone CRACKED up. This is the most annoying thing in the world. Laughing at pop people being less funny than Les Dennis will not make them want to sleep with you.

Funniest bit of the night was seeing some drunken arse fall down the escalators at Liverpool St Station - oddly enough though, while I saw the whole thing, I couldn't see the actual person! It was as if I was seeing it through his eyes, definitely one for the X Files...
