Line and "line" related stuff, including places, pubbing, gigs and posts about line. If you have something to contribute concerning line that is not mentioned here, please contribute. Particularly if you have something to contribute concerning local pubbing or other places, home brew, ale, or appley goodness. Cheers.
This is my personal site, so if you search here for pubbing or other places it will only return line pubbing / places I have been to or plan to go to. Fingers crossed it will return those anyway...If you are interested in a more broader search please try line on 'Folkestone Gerald, where I list national and international places...
buzzlines stadium
Glastonbury 1994 My first Glastonbury festival, went in my van, hard to fault the lineup on the NME stage... Blur, Pulp, Oasis, Beastie Boys, Bjork, Manics, etc. Britpop-tastic. Glastonbury
Tiger Soho Live, plus Divine Comedy, and "special guests" as headliner it says here... Mean Fiddler
Reading Festival 1999 Blur headlined, not a very strong lineup I don't think. I was working mostly, and managed to lose my first mobile phone that work lent me. Reading Festival
Monsters of Rock AC/DC, Metallica, Motley Crue, Queensryche, and the Black Crowes. A pretty special line up at the top of the bill, shame it was the shortest Donington bill ever. Got a coach up from Portsmouth. m/ Castle Donington
The Libertines XFM Xmas party, watched support act The Darkness then went mad on free cocktails, don't remember the headliners. Islington Academy
Wolfsbane Found the ticket now! I went to the gig on my own, then got the last train up to Rugby, where I was staying for college. Can't find details anywhere online. Much stage diving, one of my favourite gig.s The Marquee
Belle & Sebastian Karaoke as a warm up act? Or was it Franz Ferdinand? We went in late and missed all that, but a friend of a friend did get up and sing Lazy Line Painter Jane with the band. Astoria
VH1 Divas Chaka Khan, Celine Dion, Mary J Blige, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Jewel, Lisa Marie Presley, Ashanti, Shania Twain, Pat Benatar, Isley Brothers, Queen Latifah, Sharon Osbourne and STEVIE WONDER! MGM Grand
Supergrass MTV Five Night Stand... wish I could find more details of these online, I know the support acts were good too. Shepherds Bush Empire
Lilys They did a Levi ad I think, we went for the support Hooverdam. Not sure why I've put this as Highbury Garage I think the gig was in Hoxton, but can find no reference online... The Garage
