Google maps hacked smacked and whacked

Well not quite, but it's easier to insert things in the page than I though, you can do it in the URL.

Don't forget my funky monkey property map. Can't do that just by adding rude words to the end of the URL. Any estate agent types out there interested in this?

Google-maps hack WHACKED!

read more on Slashdot... I think most of the interesting map sites ought to be safe, the site in question was ripping the satellite images (which we poor brits aren't even allowed) and stitching them together to make big deskto background images.

Keep up to date with google maps things in the google maps group. I figured out my problems, kind of - if I try and show a big calendar table like on www.folkestonegerald.com, this causes a problem, but if I don't, the maps show fine. Wish I had more time to play with this stuff! I will incorporate them into popex, so I can justify spending time on it in the day...

A little light snoozing on the commute in today, which is nice. My new seedlings are sprouting nicely, the basil is way ahead in the race, thyme is in the silver medal position, but there is also some growth from the mint and the chives. I will have to re-pot them next week and be a proper gardener... I've taken more pictures, but not posted them up yet; firstly because I've not had time to get them off the camera yet, and secondly because the pictures need a GOOD LOOK before I post them online. My baby seedlings are on a nice shiny stainless steel tray, and I've got to check it closely for hilarious reflections - can't remember if I was dressed or not when I last tenced them.

Inspired by the stuff, and Aetheria's gigography I am putting together a personal gigography, everything I ever went to, by going through a bag of old ticket stubs. I will post it up here next week when there's a bit more too it than and ... I have a lot of old rubbish, flyers and tickets and things, but from my fanzine days through my time at the NME I think there's lots of evidence missing. We'll see!

the whole eXeem thing has been a major disappointment. it was billed as a next big step in p2p but basically it is an amalgamation of an edonkey client with bittorrent with some spyware chucked in. it was implied that it would be untraceable as it did have central servers like edonkey or trackers like bittorrent but in fact it does and it'll still be obvious to trace who is downloading what. ..although im sure it's only a matter of time before something decent that does this comes out - there's already stuff out there wot does this, but it's crap apparently.

also, do you ever listen to music on your ipaq? i got an SD card, whacked some tunes on there and got winamp...all very tasty. not bad quality sound...ideal for shortish journeys - although the upload speed from pc to ipaq is proper slow for some reason.

afternoon.
