BBC reports about a burgliar caught on a webcam, and the 11 month sentence he got... have a look at the homeowner Duncan Grisby's site with the original pictures on, in that third one down is the burglar doing that "pretending I'm just rubbing my eye, but really giving you the bird" thing?
I want something like this, going to find out what setup he has...
The Tears last night were better than before, though the crowd reaction was more muted. Saw Bernard Butler in the Phoenix theatre bar before the gig, and because we were sat there drinking and watching his every move, we missed all three of the other bands who were playing. No Suede songs. Yet.
Seemed a bit of a draggy journey into work today, though entertaining in it's own way. Saw some filming in a car park on Old Street, a couple were sat in a two tone Rolls Royce, that narrows it down a bit, keep an eye out. Then noticed some odd little doorways around the back of Farringdon station that look like they lead to another world... I think it must be just artist studios with quite smart front doors, though it's hard to imagine that there's a lot of space behind these doors, as the station is right there. You can kind of see a big silver dragon the roof, no idea what that's all about. Finally spied a little note stuck to the wall of Turnmills saying "The BBC is corrupt", and got OFFERED CREDIT in Brio coffee (can't find a website), as I didn't have enough money for coffee and a sandwich. Bless!
Cool: free wifi trial on trains, on the London to Brighton route it seems, let's have some of that on the Folkestone line...

Doh, there will be no London opening for a forthcoming musical of JRR Tolkein's (that's who wrote it, did you know that?) Lord Of The Rings, reports The Guardian and many others... This will be the most expensive musical ever made, and there's not a big enough West End theatre available to show it available. Only three London theatres would be big enough - the Lyceum, the Dominion and the Drury Lane - and they're booked up at the time of the proposed opening (March 23rd 2006) with The Lion King, We Will Rock You, and The Producers. So it's going to Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre instead. Time to start thinking about our first big post honeymoon holiday saus..?
Here's a pic I snapped from the bus of where that Please drive by carefully in our village graffiti / stencil was. 
See, the whole bridge is GONE! If you peer between the houses and shops while travelling down Kingsland Road you can see most sections of this train line that were bridges over roads and things have been demolished, but work is ongoing. As the Inspector says it's part of the East London Line Extension.
I've had to take mod_perl off the popex server, I installed it too hastily and in it's super efficient way it's caching login information, so it's mixing up who is logged in. This is not good. Back to the drawing board.

Just passing this on... been using this for a good while at home, though ironically I just started using MSIE again as it's preinstalled on the pocket pc. Word to a couple of chums who are zealous about this sort of thing, www.itchypaws.co.uk and obviously www.pidster.com.
Go on - if you haven't already installed it a long time ago, install Firefox now www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/...
