Got the install CD's but can't make it boot off the CD. The system admin who set it up might have disabled this somehow. I can get the password for it but not until next week when everything's unpacked again from the move...

Not got caps lock on or anything? How about if you put in your username and password when you post? That should log you in too. It's only on macs that there should be any sort of problem I think.
