our elizabeth cole born 1794 was married to a george blissett (blisett) R.N.in 1814?.They had 9 children - George Cole b1815-George Edmund b1817-Warwick Lake b1819-Caroline Eliza b1821- Eliza Augusta b1823 (unmarried)-Charles York b1824 (lived in Astoria U.S.A.) -Isabella Rebecca b1826 (unmarried)-Louisa Maria b1829 (buried in Narrandera cemetary N.S.W. Australia) -William Henry b 1831
Not bad for a seaman! Info from family letters.
Our connection to Elizabeth Cole is through Louisa Maria.

Our James was born c 1777 in Widley (he was a cordwainer,a posh name for shoemaker, then he became a brewer Victualler) Hampshire, he married Elizabeth COLE (b 1794 Chichester West Sussex) they married in 1813 in Chichester. In the 1851 census they were running the King & Queen Inn Cosham High Street. Their children were Caroline, Mary Dash and James Cole.(There may be others that I have not found yet). The King & Queen was run by the Clarke's up until about 1910.There are three generations that bear the name of James Cole Clarke. I would be interested in your research. Our Elizabeth Cole was born in Chichester, West Sussex and married James Clarke. They had three children, Caroline, Mary Dash and James Cole (Cole now becoming a middle name). She died in June 1886 in Widley (now known as Cosham, Hampshire), UK.
I think the names and dates are just a coincidence, though based on past experience I bet you get more responses here about your family than we do about ours. Good luck!
