Doh, there will be no London opening for a forthcoming musical of JRR Tolkein's (that's who wrote it, did you know that?) Lord Of The Rings, reports The Guardian and many others... This will be the most expensive musical ever made, and there's not a big enough West End theatre available to show it available. Only three London theatres would be big enough - the Lyceum, the Dominion and the Drury Lane - and they're booked up at the time of the proposed opening (March 23rd 2006) with The Lion King, We Will Rock You, and The Producers. So it's going to Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre instead. Time to start thinking about our first big post honeymoon holiday saus..?
Here's a pic I snapped from the bus of where that Please drive by carefully in our village graffiti / stencil was. 
See, the whole bridge is GONE! If you peer between the houses and shops while travelling down Kingsland Road you can see most sections of this train line that were bridges over roads and things have been demolished, but work is ongoing. As the Inspector says it's part of the East London Line Extension.
I've had to take mod_perl off the popex server, I installed it too hastily and in it's super efficient way it's caching login information, so it's mixing up who is logged in. This is not good. Back to the drawing board.

Just looking for the receipts for our wedding rings so I could go and pick them up and realised I've left them in Folkestone, so it will have to wait until next week... while looking I found tickets for the Children of the Tsunami gig in my jacket though. I thought I sent these back, the gig was cancelled so I was due a refund. NO, I must have sent off tickets for the forthcoming Wedding Present gig instead! Also while I was out getting lunch I got a samosa, and they gave me a meat one by mistake, I took a bite and am feeling queasy now. AND Thunderbird won't work properly within our offices, was hoping to dump Outlook once and for all. AND I'm going round and round in circles trying to install mod_perl on the popex server.
On the upside, it's nearly hometime, and it's still light. SPRING is HERE!
UPDATE: And now I got mod_perl working... time to SUPERCHARGE popex.

Going to do some looking into syncing my calendars with Outlook... spotted an "update outlook" link in the tour dates section of www.qotsa.com while looking for confirmation that Josh Homme has totally wussed out of the forthcoming UK shows, just because he's spewing up blood... Seems clicking on the "update outlook" link next to a date sends a .vcs file that looks like this:

So, looks easy, will have a go at that after I finish my work on mod_perl... Might have a go at including some public holidays and moon phases too, from timeanddate.com... Task for tonight too, Update the IPOD firmware and learn more about microcontroller programming...

Also there's an xml feed of mod_perl, a JSON feed, and a KML feed of mod_perl , search my mod_perl venue info, mod_perl on Your Folkestone.
