RE: Amphitheatre gigs
Home
Why no mention of the free open air Sunday gigs at the Amphitheatre in the gig guide - well? Chanced upon VIRAMUNDO playing an excellent latino set on a perfect summers afternoon! There are gigs there every Sunday till the 4th September. Dohh!
Folkestone, sort yerself owt!.

Hello I have just found your site whilst looking for info on Folkstone Amphitheatre and cant see anything mentioned about the gigs this weekend. This is a copy of the posting from jax.org.uk/php/events/
Saturday 26th August 2006
"Folkestone Hootenanny", with Siete Leguas (Alternate country meets Cow Punk), The Rattlers (Acoustic music combo), Bid & Frink ("Sweethearts of the Rotunda with harmonies that soar to where the air is thin and the spirit all consuming"), Fat River Band (Country), Relig Oran ( Trio singing European, English & Irish songs) and The Buick Six (Country blues to finish the festival)
I'm playing in one of the bands and it would be good to get some feedback.
I beleive Hullabaloo are playing the following day Sunday 27th.

Sadley the Hootenanny was cancelled due to the poor weather, well it was a Bank Holiday.
I belive the promoter is going to reschedule the event for the Autumn.
Will keep you posted.

Thanks for posting that here, I'll add them to the calendar. Please mention this site to whoever's organising / promoting the gigs, it's the first place many people will look, being the top search result...

Have you any Idea on who to contact with regards to playing at the Amphitheatre?
Shaun :: 8 Aug :: 2006 :: Comment / reply
It's someone called Amanda Oates who arranges that - she does check this site out I hope she'll respond.

It's just me doing this site, I can only put up the info I know about. Who's playing what day then? Got any links to more information?
4th September isn't a Sunday, is it?

No offence Pauly. Keep up the good work mate. Dunno what day the 4th was - just reading from the flyer whilst slighty 'Guinessed'up!

I see there's a band of this name playing the London Irish Centre on the 22nd of October is that you? Or them?
That name is just on the website as someone submitted a list of the bands who were doing free gigs in Folkestone...
