Ice rink

A blogger (that I found, not me, nor connected with this site) says:

Oh, and did I tell you about the new ice rink in Folkestone? I was mega excited about it. So I went to check it out.

It sucks.

It's roughly the size of my kitchen. Which is small. Very small. And it's out in the middle of no-where and right in the center of a building site. So yeah.

RE: Ice rink

Ok, I've just found this......what on earth has my opinion got to do with you? I write something in my personal journal, and you copy and paste it onto here, without my permission, and make me look like an idiot! You had absolutely no right to post this comment because it has nothing to do with you. My opinions are my opinions, and even if you wanted to copy a direct quote from me, you should've asked.

I'm sorry if I have offended you in any way, but I don't think i deserved this.

Anyone's opinion on the town I live in is of interest to me

I wasn't mocking, just reposting your report on what the ice rink was like. You did make those negative comments in a public place (I found them by googling, not by going through your rubbish or anything), and they might have had an effect on the work people are doing in the town.

RE: Anyone's opinion on the town I live in is of interest to me

I honestly don't think anyone who looked at it would have regarded it in any way. They would have probably ignored it. It's a public journal, but still personal to me. I agree with Dean, I don't know if you saw his comment -

"This isn't fair, I read Doz's Blog regularly and you've completely taken this out of context, and apparently without her permission. Even if journals are public on the internet they are still personal. This isn't a report on the ice rink, it's a personal opinion of it. Furthermore it was made on the spur of the moment, like much in journal entry, it reflects the feelings of the person at the time. Therefore you can hardly call this little snippet relevant in my opinion. I also seriously doubt that this would have had an effect on anyone working on local projects. Chances are they would never have come across it or simply disregarded it as after all, it's just a journal entry of one person, not an opinion widely shared among your community. By displaying it in this way you're giving people the wrong idea about the author and the Ice Rink itself."

That's me told then!

I removed the link to your site.

RE: That's me told then!

Thank you. I would be very grateful if you removed the entire article aswell, as it doesn't help anyone. People are more likely to see it here than in my journal, so if you're bothered about it affecting the ice rink, maybe you should remove it.

I think it's one of these young people

When they're not out collecting ASBO's, they're prone to exaggerating on the internets.
