Suede have just announced via their official site that they are to (more or less) split after their December Tour.

They say on suede.net:

suede would like to announce that from next year they will be working on their own individual projects. there will not be a new studio album until the band feel that the moment is artistically right to make one. this announcement does not affect the forthcoming touring commitments. suede would like to thank the fans for their wonderful support over the years.see you in the next life.

Shocking lack of capitals there, what do they teach them at pop star school these days?

Probably for the best. See you not in the next life, but at their sold out show at the Astoria on the 13th of December. Suede’s last ever show? There are still tickets left for Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, and Birmingham, see the Suede tickets page for more info…
